Ro’ is piece from the ‘diety’ series. The concept was styled after an early life fascination with mythology and iconography. Work started with sketches and included model photography, the 1/4″ cedar panels were split from a single piece of 1″ x 120″x 12″ cedar board and reassembled. Work on this piece took a total of one month of planing/ image sourcing/modifying and one month of etching and asembly.

Laser etching is a technique using a laser etching printer and specific wood types to master image resolution. This technique consists of photographs of models and images, digital decomposition, aligning images through the overlay process and ultimately etching the overlay with the laser to produce the final rendered image.
